 Susan McMorrin Up for It? Project Manager.

Susan McMorrin joined the Up for It? Team in 2002 following a career in nursing. Susan trained as a Registered General Nurse at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham in 1983 and worked as a Ward Sister for 8 years, running a 36 bedded Gastroenterology Surgical Unit.

Susan's post as Project Manager involves the strategic development of the programme across South Lanarkshire and managing the team of Up for It? staff.

 

 

 Ann MacLeod Up for It? Project Officer

Ann joined the project from South Lanarkshire Leisure in 2004. Ann  has worked with many of our clients and has had first hand experience of the many benefits of the project.

Ann has a leisure and medical background with 17 years experience in the Health & Fitness industry and a degree in Podiatry and 3 years training in the Southern General Hospital.

Anne currently works with a variety of organizations, sharing information and setting up referral pathways and has the task of evaluation and monitoring of the project.

 

Lesley Scanlan Up for It? Youth Development Officer.

Lesley joined the project in October 2005 as Youth Development Officer. Prior to this Lesley worked for 7 years in the football development section in South Lanarkshire Leisure.

Lesley has a sports background and holds an HND in sports coaching.

Lesley is responsible for the running and implementation of the Get fit-Get Up 4 It! / Youth support programmes.

 

 Jenny McLelland Up for It? Client Support Officer.

Jenny joined the Up for It ? Project in November 2005.

As the Client Support Officer Jenny is responsible for helping local people access training or employment opportunities.

Jenny has a comprehensive background in advising clients who have a disability or long term health problems, combined with local market knowledge, gained through previous employment with Routes To Work South, The Workplace Initiative and New Routes.

Christine Young Up for It? Marketing Development Officer.

Christine joined the project in November 2005. Christine has a background in Retail / Property Management and Marketing spanning 20 years.

Christine is currently working on setting up the Corporate arm to the Up for It? project. This department was set up this year due to the high demand from companies in the private sector wishing to provide beneficial health services to their employees. The services include Health Check, Stress Relief, Weight Management and Smoking Cessation. We can also advise clients on corporate Leisure memberships.

This service is provided at a small cost to businesses with all proceeds being re invested into the core Up for It? project.

 Sarah Prunty Up for It? Stress Management Centre Coordinator

Sarah joined the project in March 2005 as the Stress Management Coordinator.

Previous to this post Sarah was a stress centre therapist holding posts in Royston and Possilpark stress centers. Sarah is qualified in Swedish Massage, Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Reiki, Emotional Freedom Technique, Seated Acupressure Massage and Person-Centered Counseling. Sarah is currently working towards her qualification in Counseling Supervision accredited by BACP.

Sarah is responsible for the management of 17 dedicated Therapists/Counsellors all with experience in various Therapies.

Martin Pollock Up for It? Clerical Officer.

Carole Callaghan Up for It? Senior Clerical Officer

Catherine Forrest Up for It? Clerical Officer

Joan Kelly Up for It? Clerical Officer

Martin joined Up for It? in 2005 as a Clerical Officer organizing access for the Get Fit - Get Up 4 It! and the Youth Support programmes. Due to the expansion of the project Martin is now responsible for administering the health checks for the Cambuslang and Rutherglen areas.

Carole joined Up for It? in 2004 as a Clerical Officer. Carole organizes Health Checks for all clients in Larkhall, Eddlewood, Fairhill, Kirkmuirhill, Rigside, Carstairs Junction and Forth. Carol is also available to aid clients with enquiries on the Get Fit -Get Up 4 It! project.

Catherine joined Up for It? in 2003 as a Clerical Officer, arranging health checks, stress management appointments and access to Get Fit -Get Up 4 It!  Due to the expansion on the project Catherine’s main duties are assigning and monitoring of the stress management appointments.

Joan joined the Up for It? team in 2005 as a Clerical Officer, Joan is responsible for arranging health checks for the Blantyre, Hillhouse, Whitehill and Burnbank areas.
